The trend is inspired from wardrobe pieces which feature simple lines and clothing which is fit for utility purpose. Military tones are the key colours used in the trend but is updated with mild hues of Air force blue, camouflage brown and mint green. The look is pure and rural with influences from functional work wear and army surplus.

My own Pantone colour chart |
One example of a garment which is included in the trend is the minimal shift dress; a dropped-shoulder dress made from a soft, cotton material. I love how the shift dress has little detail and its attention is focused more on the shape and structure of the dress than its details. The dress is cut so that it doesn't hug any features and instead hangs loosely on the body.
Another example of a garment which is included in the trend is the mesh midi skirt; which is cut from mesh and teamed with several layers of chiffon underneath. I like how the combination of mesh and chiffon material and the layering up of these materials gives the skirt a rugged and rough approach. The skirt covers up most of the leg and comes up just above the ankles, due to the length of the skirt the material sways behind giving a sense of direction when moving.
