The headline I chose was: "Oil prices rally but damage to customer confidence already done". From this headline it was clear that the rise in oil prices has an impact on the consumer. People will suffer and be unlikely to travel to work and therefore will have to find jobs locally. Public transport would be affected such as cars and car manufacturing companies would have a decrease in sales. The trend I came up with to resolve this situation is the increase in sports luxe clothing. As oil prices increase, it is much harder for people to afford to drive to earn a living; therefore the use of sports luxe clothing to promote a healthy and athletic lifestyle for those travelling to work locally would be ideal. The sports luxe trend would include clothing such as outdoor jackets and trainers for practicality and comfort when walking.
