When watching one of Faith Popcorn's seminar videos on YouTube she spoke about "Cross Cultural Analysis". Cross Cultural Analysis is a term used where trend forecasters watch both culture and industries for signs that an idea is beginning. Its all about looking at cultures and whats going on in the world and how different peoples backgrounds and way of living may cause trends. Faith Popcorn explained how people want whats going to run out and she learnt that when she was at a subway store in Tokyo. Faith Popcorn and her team have experienced it first hand. She then went onto explain how culture is about what people are passionate about and what the consumer's desires and fears are. The three trends I could pick up when watching Faith Popcorn's video were called: 1) 99 Lives, 2) Anchoring and 3) AtmosFear, and she described these trends in detail.
