Spring/Summer '15 Trends // Yellow
03:05Not exactly one of my ideal colours to wear but it seems that yellow could be the new colour to look out for this season. I guess with the change of weather and the Easter holidays round the corner it would only be suitable to include this bright ray of colour into the Spring catwalks! Here is what the positive colour had to offer:
Starting off with this midi dress from Cushnie et Ochs; I'm already becoming a little lenient to the colour. This midi dress is the perfect representation of luxury with its rich golden and amber colour. I love how the dress sweeps down off the shoulders and into a V-neck enhancing the model's collarbone. More-over the use of slight ruffles around the bust makes the dress more loose and flowing before moving into the figure-hugging and fitted midi skirt. I love how the hue of amber complements the model's skin-tone making her shimmer and glow.
Michael Kors
Michael Kors featured a yellow outburst in his S/S '15 Ready-to-Wear collection at New York Fashion Week when model Julia Nobis strutted down the catwalk in a buttercup yellow streamline duffle coat. The look itself is casual and effortless as the coat is styled with a pair of straight, rolled up, dark denim three-quarter-length jeans and sandals, however, the contrast of the yellow in the coat makes the outfit as a whole stand out. In my opinion, I personally wouldn't wear this coat as I think the shade of yellow is too bright and overpowering.
