Autumn/Winter '15-16 "Psychedelic Wave" Style Board:

Evaluation
Trend Board
For my final Spring/Summer '16 trend I picked the Psychedelic Wave trend; I chose this trend because after researching and looking into the predicted future prints on 'Patternbank', 'WGSN' and 'Premiere Vision'; which are all trend-predicting websites, I saw a lot of bright, psychedelic colours within patterns. For the trend board towards my Spring/Summer '16 "Psychedelic Wave" trend, I took inspiration from tie-dye interiors, psychedelic artwork from the British music band 'The Beatles', Volkswagen buses from the Hippie movement, psychedelic prints and lastly, catwalks from Burberry Prorsum and Emilio Pucci. When researching into 'Psychedelic' imagery I discovered that overpowering and illuminous colours such as greens, blues, yellows, oranges and purples were present throughout different images and this is why I chose to use a bright colour scheme within my final boards.

Style Board
For my style board towards my Spring/Summer '16 "Psychedelic Wave" trend I decided to dress my model in a tie-dye dress. I chose this garment because the mixture of splatted, contrasted colours conveyed the dress as being quite crazy and wacky within its design. I styled the outfit with a pair of sunglasses to capture the Summer season the trend was portraying; as the weather becomes warmer, sunglasses are a good accessory for providing protection from sunlight. I purposefully chose my model to wear a pair of circle, rounded sunglasses; similarly connotated with vocalist Ozzy Osbourne, to portray a Hippie look. I took my photographs outside in daylight because again, the use of sunlight in my photographs reflects the Spring/Summer season my trend is based on. If I could improve on my photo shoot I would have my model displaying a wider variety of poses that perhaps the Hippies were seen portraying because this would reflect on the era my trend originated from.
